another random stuff i realised. i said that i was going to post. so..
AHPEKS ON TRAIN ENJOY PICKING ON STUDENTS. esp if they know angmoh.
I have realised that uncles somehow enjoy picking on students wearing their uniform. I came to my conclusion after witnessing two incidents on the trains.
The first incident happened one day when sh,ps and me went up the train during the peak hour. The train was very crowded and people were packed like sardines with no extra sapce for themselves. The three of us went in the last, thus being very near to door. We just shared a joke before entering the train. Therefore, the three of us especially sh and me were still laughing. However, we were going to stop thus the laughter gets softer. We were still giggling among ourselves when we heard , " I CAN'T HEAR YOU. THE ANDERSON GIRLS ARE TOO NOISY." We then looked and saw an uncle talking on the phone loudly. We then stopped laughing inclusive of the giggling and made the i-know-what-you-are-thinking-cause-its-the-same-as-mine and what-is-wrong-with-the-uncle glances to each other. The uncle was obviously talking louder than us giggling. We kept quiet because we were wearing school uniform and we did not want trouble. ( imagine him writing complaint letter to sch. then assembly everyone will know) It is not in the law that no giggling is allowed in the train. I don't see why he could enjoy himself talking so loudly on the train using his phone while we can't giggle among ourselves.
Secondly, the same three people were on the train again on our way home. On the journey, we saw an uncle saying "excuse me" to a junior colleage girl who had her earphones plugged to her ears. Thus, bviously she could not hear since she did not respond. The girl was carrying books with a hand and the other holding the railing. Behind her was the uncle and beside the uncle was a lady with a pram. Hence, the uncle could not move pass her unless she moved. There was still a path behind him which he would have to move more to get to the door. The train was still travelling between a station to another thus the girl did not look out for people moving towards the door. The uncles continued to say "excuse me" behind the girl, with each one getting louder. However, the girl still did not respond. The uncle made no attempt to pat her on the shoulder or make any physical contact to get the attention of the girl. When the girl finally realised that there was an uncle behind her wanting to pass her, she gave way. The uncle unhappily walked to the door. ( still havent reach the next station yet). The uncle stood in front of the door, giving unfriendly stares to her and saying a "are you deaf?", with almost the whole cabin staring at the both of them. I think the student is very innocent. Imagine standing in a train with earpieces attached to your ears, bringing music for you. Suddenly an uncle walks past you unhappily, staring at you with a " are you deaf?", after giving way to him when the train was not at the next station yet. AT the next station, the uncle alighted still staring at the student.
Therefore, i conclude that most of the uncles (ahpeks) who know english (angmoh) take advantage(verbally) of students in uniform on the trains based on the two incidents that i came across. They happened around the past to this week.
Jiayou for exams. Im coming~ for EOY holidays. k-box , shopping, eating, chalet, overseas trip ((: I intend to work hard for sec3. even though i say that every year, but.. lets not break the momentum.
